Based on the results of the survey, we can say that a huge fraction of the students of malden WALK to school, so student/pedestrian safety is a big concern to many people.
q2.PNG
A Majority of the students voted in the 5,6,7 range (some even voted 1 and 2), meaning they DO NOT think that students and pedestrians are safe, and it shows that we can take action, and eventually get people to vote closer to 10.
q3.PNG
Over half of the students said that cars DO NOT stop for them when they cross the streets, causing kids to get impatient, and start jaywalking which can potentially lead to an accident, if cars are going at high speeds. We should encourage people to stop their cars for the pedestrians.
q4.PNG

About a third of the students said that their parents DO NOT think it is safe for them to walk to school, and this is a big fraction of the students. If their parents don't think its safe, then we know this is a big issue, and we must take action, and improve the safety of students/pedestrians so the parents don't have to worry.

About a third of the students said that they have seen or been in a car accident relating a pedestrian, and this number is just way too high, and shows that we MUST take action to improve the safety of walking students and pedestrians.

From our 2nd survey, we made a list of the possible intersections and places that needed to be fixed. After we observe these intersections, we made a report listing the problems and solutions of the most important streets.
